

Ashleigh currently employs over 300 staff and trade
operatives covering a number of activities including Joinerwork, Brickwork, Painterwork and Plumberwork. Many of our
operatives have
come through our own apprenticeship
scheme and have been trained to our own high levels of
quality. With a regular annual intake of around 20 apprentices covering our Glasgow, Ayrshire and Dumfries regions, we
have developed relationships with the CITB and local
colleges.
We currently employ a total of 80 apprentices
(including
mature apprentices).
Having recently been awarded the Accreditation Certificate
for Quality Management and Environmental Approach,
Ashleigh
are now enjoying further success with the award
of the
Gold Card.
Gold Standard
Ashleigh are keen participators in the Construction Skills Certification Scheme which involves all managements, staff
and employees, and are delighted to have achieved the
Gold
Card Award - the highest possible available in the
industry - a standard which is only awarded when all staff
have achieved accreditation.
The award is yet another achievement for a hard working, organised and successful
Ayrshire based company.
Ashleigh Achievement Recognised
All our Project Managers have recently qualified to either
Level 3 or Level 4, SVQ Construction Site Management. This
has the added benefit of gaining membership to professional bodies and gives professional recognition to our staff.
Social Inclusion for the Community
We have also established strong links with the local
communities, which has involved employment opportunities through a number of programmes. These include Access Construction Ayrshire, with Ayrshire Initiatives, and making
use of local Job Centres.
The Ayrshire Initiatives programme helps Ashleigh recruit
quality, local labour and provides mutually beneficial
Community Benefit.
Through the establishment of these programmes, we now
work closely with agencies such as the WISE Group and
CEiS
Ayrshire, to provide further opportunities for the long
term unemployed.
